Stage 2 — Drift Detection

Stage 2 begins when Stage 1 indicates drift.

Trigger

Stage 2 is triggered by a repeated pattern of “same” or “worse” from the 1-2-3 Check-Up System.

Stage 2 Core Actions (Automated)

Once Stage 2 is triggered, OutsideINsights automatically:

1. Increases check-in frequency

   • Up to organization limits
   • Used to establish a clearer short-term pattern

2. Requests additional context signals

   • Short structured follow-ups for patient and (if consented) Care Circle

3. Updates drift scoring and trendline

   • Re-evaluates stability vs. escalation risk continuously

4. Flags Stage 2 status to the provider dashboard

   • Provider visibility increases
   • No mandatory provider action yet

Stage 2.a — Specialty-Aligned Signals

Stage 2.a is activated when drift persists or requires context that cannot be captured by the core 1-2-3 system.

When Stage 2.a runs

• Stage 2 drift becomes persistent or ambiguous
• The system needs specialty-relevant signals to interpret risk
• A provider may also initiate Stage 2.a manually (optional)

What OutsideINsights does in Stage 2.a

OutsideINsights:

• selects a specialty workflow pack aligned to patient context
• sends targeted surveys/prompts
• optionally runs higher-frequency 1-2-3 check-ins to refine pattern clarity
• correlates specialty signals against baseline drift

Provider visibility in Stage 2.a

Providers can see:

• Stage 2 drift alert
• Stage 2.a specialty pack engaged
• incoming specialty signals over time

Provider action remains optional until Stage 3 triggers.
